Community and Friendship

As a teammate I came up with ideas to help and different solutions. When our group was doing the marble luge we all listened to each other’s ideas and at the end we figured it out. We were the first group to finish the maze. In that activity you had to pay a lot of attention and trust your friends and teammates. I thought that the hog call was the easiest but you had to choose a leader and in that you have to step down and let the leader handle things.

-It was sometimes hard not to control something our check and make sure everything is right but you have to believe and trust to know that your team is right. My favorite activity was the maze because you had to trust your instinct and figure the maze out with your friends. When someone messed up we did not bring them down our yell at them we just said nice try. You have to trust people who you don’t hang out with because you don’t know if the person that you trust more is correct. You also have to listen to boys and girls even if you don’t like the person or believe that they are right.

Community and Friendship

I was successful as a friend and a team member because I gave ideas which led towards the success of challenges. Also when someone said something I didn’t agree with I let them try because that is what I would want if I were them.  I listened to everyone’s ideas and tried to think which ones would work then as a team we decided.

For example when we did the Marble Luge everybody had an idea and some other team members and I were able to combine some of the ideas to make it work for everybody. When we were doing Hog Call a lot of people wanted to be the person that would move people around and find pairs. I was one of them that wanted to but I decided that I had done enough and should let another team member have a turn. During the maze I told someone the wrong way to step and made my team have to start over. After that I never made that mistake again. If I wasn’t sure where they should go I didn’t try to tell them. I would let someone who knew tell them.

Today, we did Charger Trails. We first did the Marble Luge with Ms. Stewart, then Hog Call with Ms. Taylor, and lastly Maze with Ms. Smith. The Marble Luge was where we must transport a marble from a piece of masking tape into an upright cub using only tubes and ourselves. We first tried piping the marble, and then we tried using two tubes to contain and pass the marble, and succeeded. Next, we did the Hog Call. We had everyone stand with their back facing the leader, and managed to match everyone in 45 seconds, even with the delay of multiple people trying to suddenly become the leader. Then we did the next Hog Call challenge, and managed to use the same strategy with two people leading and another checking. Next, we went to the maze and managed to be the group of Ms. Smith’s to find a way through and get everyone through.

I feel I was successful as a friend today while participating in Charger Trails because I went with the flow. In Hog Call, I would have liked to be a leader, but when I wasn’t I went with the flow and trusted the leader, following them to where they thought I should be. In Marble Luge, I also went with the flow and tried to pipe and pass well, and I think I did. In Maze, I trusted group members and if someone accidently gave me the wrong square, I didn’t blow up and start yelling at them. I just knew it wasn’t their fault and they were trying to help. That is why I felt I was a successful friend.

I felt I was successful as a team member because I participated, making me a good team member. I made my opions on where the person should go next in Maze heard, and I also made my ideas on how to succeed at Marble Luge heard. In Hog Call, I helped match people in the first round, then stepped down the second and let the other members of the team lead the second round.

Today we had charger trails. I thought it was fun. We learned how to work as a team and listening to directions. We went through challenges and had to solve them together. We had to come up with different ideas and listen to people’s ideas. I think that it taught us how to be a leader or listen to the leader. We also learned how to compete as the stereos.

I was successful as a fAdd Mediariend because I would clap when people something and cheer them up if they did something bad. The reason we were successful as friends were because we all encouraged each other to make ideas and other things. One time someone messed up when we were almost finished but we helped her and said it was okay and she got it the next time. I think friendship was a big part of these challenges. We would also accept each other being leaders because we knew that they were trustworthy and they were our friends.

We were successful as team members because we would all agree on a idea and work off of that. We would all come up with ideas which made us very successful. The reason we got passed some of the challenges is because we had great ideas. I feel that I helped as a team member because I was lessoning to the leader and Lessing to what the majority of the class anted. When we were doing the hog call one person was the leader and everybody including me listened to her. I feel that this is why I was successful.

Today we did Charger Trails. It is composed of three challenges, all completely different except for the basis of the activities, teamwork. They all required teamwork to be completed. We usually started by thinking of a good strategy for success. Usually someone said a strategy and then others who thought it was a good idea would edit it and make it better, covering the loopholes for failure. Our group (the Stewart Stereos) did exceptionally good on each challenge, thanks to our good teamwork and open minds. Oh, another thing that was similar in all the activities was that they were silent, making them more hard but team building.

I was a good team member and friend during the challenges, because like others I encouraged people and helped them out. When someone in our group messed up or made a wrong step (*cough*team member #7*cough*) me and the team members would help them more the next time, resulting in everyone success. I was a good friend because instead of yelling at people I kindly suggested that they change their strategies or listen to others ideas.

This year’s Charger Trails was exciting and educational at the same time. Everyone was being a friend and a great teammate in some way. In general, everyone was cheering their teammates on and helping them. Charger Trails not only was fun, but it helped me to be a great friend and teammate.

Charger Trails allowed me to show my friendliness toward others. During Marble Luge, I allowed my friends to try their ideas even though it might not work. When people wanted to move me in Hog Call, I just stayed at the place they assigned me to until they move me again. Even though the Maze was confusing, I let others guide me through the maze. Overall, everyone including me was a caring friend with each other.

Not only did Charger Trails show my friendliness, but it also displayed me as a teammate. In Marble Luge, I was doing what people instructed me to do and where to go. Sometimes I would help the leader in Hog Call to match up the pairs and which pair was wrong. My teammates and I were also pointing the direction the person should move to in the Maze. Charger Trails teaches me how to be a hard-working teammate.

Team Work

The stereos and I became successful because we all got to be leaders. Every activity I learned more about that it’s okay to mess up. An example is that when I messed up in the maze and everyone had to start over my teammates still cheered me on and we ended up succeeding. We were the first team of the day to succeed. I encouraged everyone. My friends may have messed up but I messed up too. Every one helped me. Today I think that I understand more about team work and letting other people be in charge for once.

The Activates

The first activity I got to be a leader. It was the marble lunge. At first we tried to make a big line. But since that wasn’t working we did my idea. We passed along the tube. We did that in one try. We celebrated and everyone thanked me. The next activity was hog call. We easily got through the first one by choosing a leader. The leader was the only one who moved. Some people had trouble with that. They didn’t trust the leader. The second round we were better by trusting everyone. I helped check the work just in case. We used team work and we finished fast and accurate. Overall I think that I learned a lot. We laughed a lot because having fun with our friend helped us succsed.

Community & Friendship

I was successful being a friend because being a friend is supposed to be loyal. I think of everyone as a good person/ friend because they show their true colors. Friends are supposed to be loyal and friendly, well….. most. When I was participating in the Charger Trail, my friends didn’t yell at me when I took a wrong step or ruined everything up. During the Maze, everyone cooperated and they seemed like they known each other for years. We everyone finished the Maze, we clapped. After, we guided the next person to finish the maze and repeated.

I was a team member in my team because I helped reach them to success. Being a team member doesn’t necessarily mean being the leader and have the main role in everything. All of my teammates worked together to reach a specific group. We talked it all out and see which ideas the most important and effective and we shall do it. When it doesn’t work, we look for another idea that may work and see how it’s similar or not. I feel like we got to know each other more than before. The Marble Luge needed a lot of teamwork because we needed to here other people’s idea and use those pipes to handle things. Even if I dropped the marble, they partially didn’t blame all at me. The Hog Call needed a leader that puts people’s cards together. We choose different ideas that would work like having a person who matches it all up and having a checker (me) to check if it’s a right. Charger Trail is really fun!

Community and Friendship

Community and friendship is what makes a team, and today I think the Stereos made a pretty good team.

To have a good community, everyone has to do their best and help out. Nobody’s perfect, but everyone can try their hardest to do their best. Some people don’t like to try, but if people encourage them and help them out, you will have a successful community. I think the hardest challenge today was the Maze. You had to try a lot of different strategies to do the maze, and if you don’t work together, you won’t find your strategy. The Maze was a challenge where everyone had to help each other, and if we didn’t, we wouldn’t have got it.

If you want a community, you have to have friendship. Friendship was really important in the Hog Call challenge, because you had to trust each other, and trust is a part of friendship. We also had to be positive and not take it the wrong way when we didn’t get chosen for the matcher. We had to trust the matcher and let the matcher do the job. At first, everyone was trying to be the matcher and take over, but when we let the matcher do the job alone, we were successful. When we used community and friendship, we made a great team.

Charger Trails has many team-building exercises that make us work together as a community and friend. One activities that I liked the most was the marble luge. I liked the marble luge because we threw ideas out and we tested them. One of the ideas that we came up with was making an actual marble track, which didn’t work after three tries. The last idea was interesting because it had you not make a marble track, but instead hold the marble in a tube and work as a team to get it to the destination.

Being a friend at Charger Trails is a big part about the activities because it is about teamwork and how you use teamwork to succeed in the activity. For example, when we were doing the marble luge, we had to brainstorm ideas and come up with a solution to the problem. We tried doing it one way, but the second one worked better, and I think that it did because we worked better as a team. Also in the maze, we had to develop a solution to the maze and find out how to get through it. We worked together as friends to find a path to the end.

On the hog call, we chose a team leader who put people in groups to make words. The community in Charger Trails was also a large part about the activities. This is because if we never knew each other, then it would be harder to communicate, but now, we have known each other for about two and a half months and it is easier to work together.

I was successful as a teammate because I think I worked well with the others and listened to their ideas as they listened to mine. I also encouraged people and did not blame people for what they did. The reason that we were so successful on the different activities is because all of us did this and that gave us the opportunity to succeed. For example, when someone messed up on the maze, we all were sad but we didn’t blame them. We stopped and encouraged them and then tried again and succeeded. Also, when we were doing the marble luge, we all had different ideas but we listened to each other and came up with a better one using everyone’s ideas.

I was successful as a friend because of the same reasons like encouraging people and not blaming them. That helped our team because it kept our friendships together and we were able to get through the problem when something happened and we had to redo it again. The entire team also did this and that is what had kept us together and we did not get frustrated at someone or at the activity. I think that the activity also helped us bond because we were able to begin to trust each other and we formed friendships because of this. We were able to find each other’s strengths and weaknesses and we are a stronger team because of it. For example, when we had first messed up on the second part of the hog call, we worked as friends and kindly corrected them.
