Community and Friendship

Community and Friendship

This year’s Charger Trails was exciting and educational at the same time. Everyone was being a friend and a great teammate in some way. In general, everyone was cheering their teammates on and helping them. Charger Trails not only was fun, but it helped me to be a great friend and teammate.

Charger Trails allowed me to show my friendliness toward others. During Marble Luge, I allowed my friends to try their ideas even though it might not work. When people wanted to move me in Hog Call, I just stayed at the place they assigned me to until they move me again. Even though the Maze was confusing, I let others guide me through the maze. Overall, everyone including me was a caring friend with each other.

Not only did Charger Trails show my friendliness, but it also displayed me as a teammate. In Marble Luge, I was doing what people instructed me to do and where to go. Sometimes I would help the leader in Hog Call to match up the pairs and which pair was wrong. My teammates and I were also pointing the direction the person should move to in the Maze. Charger Trails teaches me how to be a hard-working teammate.

Career- Microbiologist

I would like to become a Microbiologist, because I would like to study about viruses, fungi, bacteria, algae, and different types of microorganisms. The life of the species are very unique, because I learned that some of them lived millions of years before mankind, animals, and plants. For example, there is a type of microorganism called Extremophiles which can survive in hot, salty and even acidic or gaseous environments. Overall, this type of job is something I would love to explore in the future, because we can use these species to obtain natural products at lower cost for humankind.

A microbiologist requires special training and education; they can work in different places with a good salary. You need to have a bachelor’s degree and usually a Ph.D. A microbiologist usually work in colleges, universities, professional schools, for the government, in hospitals, in laboratories, industries, etc. The annual wage for these scientists depends in what institution you work in. For instance, the federal government usually provides the best salary and benefits. Even though there are other fascinating careers, I feel like a microbiologist is my DESTINY.

A Snip of my Culture Verse

Without Communication, I won’t be able to express myself. I had a difficult situation about this topic in my life. When I was young, I couldn’t pronounce the “r’s,” the “l’s,” and the “th’s.” People couldn’t understand me and made fun of me. My mom and I went to places for speech therapy, but I didn’t get better. In my school, I had a poetry contest. At first, it was frustrating and I was crying when I couldn’t pronounce the words correctly. Then, my mom told me to repeat the verse Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” With my family’s help and God’s help, I was able to speak properly and I placed first overall in my school! This cultural universal is significant is significant in my life, because it has changed the way I am now.

  • Wealthy- held more elaborate ceremonies, buried their dead in tombs
  • Pharaohs- priests laid body in coffin- placed in large stone container (sarcophagus,) surrounded with treasures
  • Pharaohs in early times- buried in pyramids
  • Pharaohs later- buried in temples/secret locations to prevent people from breaking into sites to steal treasures

SeedFolks Favorite Character

Out of all the characters of Seed folks, Sam inspires me. He wants to bring together the black and white and other different people which is really bold. His longing to bring the world to peace is a fascinating character about him. I see myself in him since many black and white men and women are friendly to him and sometimes look up to him. In my old school, my class were compatible with me most of the time and they were usually seeing me as a leader. Also, Sam can relate to me since he has an imagination of the garden being similar to Cleveland. I remember the time I saw my old school acting and being like people in heaven since many times people are kind, reliable, and trustworthy with each other. Sam and I both know the Lord and the Bible. Overall, Sam is the type of character that not only inspires me, but he also has multiple things he does and believes that are similar to my life and how I look things.
