At my last day with UNC-TV, I had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Kamona Herring who is the Community Engagement Director, and also works closely with the activities for youth. My task was to evaluate the PBS youth story writing competition. There were four groups, kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. Each story was very different, and I enjoyed discovering another aspect of the work that takes place at UNC-TV. Once the decision is made the top three stories in each group will move on to a national competition. Thank you for reading about my great experience!
