It’s hard to believe that today was our last day with our friends at the Feldbergschule in Oberursel. We celebrated the exchange this evening with a farewell party at the Landgasthof Saalburg, a traditional German restaurant located near a reconstructed fort that was once part of the Roman frontier in Germany (“Limes”).
In follow-up to this evening’s festivities, we would again like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our host teachers and our host families for the wonderful time we have had here in Oberursel. We will be returning to North Carolina with very fond memories of the time we spent in the Taunus region. While a few members of our group will be staying on in Europe a while longer, most of us will be flying back to Raleigh tomorrow, where we look forward to reuniting with our family and friends.
