Part of what we worked on today was changing the rear drum brakes of the 1997 Toyota Tacoma. Changing the drum brakes was a new experience from what we had done earlier in the DT, however, through the use of YouTube and the guidance from Shep and Cy, we were able to switch out the old drum brakes with new ones. The process consisted of jacking up the car, taking off the wheels and things covering the drum brakes, removing the semi-circular brakes from the car, taking off attachments to the brake, reinstalling the attachments to the new brakes, and putting the new drum brakes into the vehicle.
