Today, we visited the NPR studios, where the radio show is recorded and produced. We interviewed one of the producers to gain insight about the processes involved in modern journalism. He discussed the process by which credible sources are found, the cases in which anonymity is granted, and the general day-to-day methods the station  must take to ensure that the information is interesting, and accurate. The producer also stated that the station is able to gain national and worldwide coverage by developing a network of reliable sources, from which they can get news coverage. The interview revealed much about the process of newscasting in a world where false information spreads quickly and with ease, and the methods that must be followed to buffer the spread of fake news, designed with malicious intent.
