The NC State fair was enjoyable for me. I went on many rides such as roller coasters, haunted houses, and rides that spin you around. I also went to the agriculture part of the fair to learn about the farming industry. We interviewed Cheerwine, Tidewater Company, Bob’s Smoking Barbeque sauce, and 1 in 6 Snacks. I learned about the amount of money that went into the company, its best-selling products, and more. My favorite part of the fair was eating a giant turkey leg.
These 4 seniors will enjoy the fair on X Day, but also look behind the curtain to learn more about the people who make the Fair work: “Our learning for the event would be the day in the life of a state fair worker. This could either be a ride attendant or a concessions stand worker. We would also look at the agriculture section of the fair to examine the maintenance of plant care and the effect of growing crops. We could interview various farmers and ask them questions such as the cost to maintain their farm, crops, and more.” We look forward to seeing cool images and short stories about the conversations you have!
