Kayaking On Lake Jordan

This morning we kayaked on Lake Jordan, observing the value of having designated spaces for people to interact with nature. Although it was chilly, there were few boats on the lake which was nice. We were also able to see the lake ecosystem as we kayaked and saw animal tracks such as deer along the shoreline.

Jordan Lake Is Chilly & Wide

How does experiencing a state park affect our views on nature  preservation? We will kayak on Jordan Lake in the morning, prepare and enjoy a cookout on the lake for lunch, and then test Jordan Lake’s water quality and make predictions about the lake’s biology. Throughout the day, we will explore, appreciate, and think critically about Jordan Lake and special places in nature in general.
