For part of the day today, I went to Rush Hour Karting in Morrisville, NC. We raced the go-karts and I had a lot of fun. We talked a bit about lithium mining and its environmental effects. Many electric car companies use them to make cars, but there are harsh ecological effects because of this. We also discussed the advantages of gas vehicles compared to electric vehicles.
The NC State fair was enjoyable for me. I went on many rides such as roller coasters, haunted houses, and rides that spin you around. I also went to the agriculture part of the fair to learn about the farming industry. We interviewed Cheerwine, Tidewater Company, Bob’s Smoking Barbeque sauce, and 1 in 6 Snacks. I learned about the amount of money that went into the company, its best-selling products, and more. My favorite part of the fair was eating a giant turkey leg.
