This x-day I decided to do something a little bit different. I’ve been inspired in the past few weeks by other artists online with their life studies of natural environments, and I wanted to do something similar at NCSM because there’s a lot of detail I can capture and I think the skeletons were especially cool to draw. I think I improved a bit over the course of the day and want to try doing the same in other spaces.
I think one of the things I noticed within all the cafes was the atmosphere and how they all created a nice place to do work or chat. I think implementing something like this in the Hub would be nice. While the library does exist as a space to do work, it doesnt give the same atmosphere that incentivizes people to buy things from the Hub. 
Unfortunately the art museum was closed for the Modern European artists exhibit in a few weeks. However, we did get to see a few sculptures outside and some works inside before leaving.
We visited the Van Gogh museum and got to learn a lot about his history behind his paintings and his life. For example, he lost his ear after a fight with his roommate Gaugin. Reading about this part, we wondered if he and Gaugin were in a relationship.
