Habits

While seemingly trivial, habits are huge contributors to mental wellness.

Helpful Daily Habits to Adopt

Self-Care: It is inexplicably important to take care of yourself. Remember stay in touch with personal hygiene, sexual health, healthy eating, and signals from your body.

Journaling: Often, writing all of your thoughts down can help ease the pressure on your mind. Whenever needed, record what you are thinking in a personal journal of yours.

Focusing on the positives: Every night before you go to bed, write down or say aloud to yourself: one thing you accomplished that day, one thing you are thankful for, one thing you love about yourself, and one new thing you did that day.

Maintain a healthy sleep schedule: sleep is very important to a healthy mind. Not only does sleeping help you feel generally better, it also improves your brain status and functioning.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate: just as hydration is key to performing at your physical prime during a sport’s game, it is just as important to maintaining a healthy mind.
