Our trip started off with a very rough start. While on the plane, a few of us got sick. A majority of us did not sleep. We managed to overcome our problems long enough to land. After we landed we waited in a long line for customs. I don’t think we’ve ever been that excited that early in the morning. We then got past customs and got lost, but managed to figure things out. We then found out that our original bus had been in accident so they had to send another one. In addition to the bus already coming at a later time, there were strikes going on in Paris today with public transportation, which led more people to drive today. The one perk of the bus being late is that we got to see the famous supermodel Emily Ratajkowski. When the bus finally arrived at around 12:50 , we were all tired. We got on the bus and slept like babies (ALL of us!).
When we got to Tours, it was too late to do anything. We each got picked up and did different things with our families. My exchange student and her brother, her sister, and her dad picked me up at the drop off location and drove me to their beautiful home located in Vernou Sur Brenne.
Wow, one celebrity sighting so far! We’ll keep watch to see if anyone famous shows up in Cary. Nice photo and recap!
