So I was supposed to write this Sunday, but because of a trip Hugo, Liam, Johan and I took, I was unable to post it. So with permission from Mme Jones, I am posting this blog tonight about what I did today.
I slept in today, which was nice. I woke up at 9 and started getting ready at 9:30. Johan and I went to the school soon afterwards, and he then dropped me off with all the other Americans. We all then hopped on a train that went straight to the castle Chenonceau. On the train ride there, Tommy, Jarod, Mme Jones and I played poker. I did absolutely horrible, and looking back, going all in when I had a queen high was not my best decision. Once we arrived at the castle, we had a picnic. There were some friendly ducks, but Sam scared some of them away. The picnic lasted a very long time, so after about a half hour everyone started goofing around. After that, we actually started visiting the castle. The inside was very cool, but I preferred the gardens. I ended up spending more time talking to people than I did actually looking at the castle, but the castle was absolutely incredible. At around 5 we got back on the train and headed back. After we got back, Hugo and Johan wanted to show me and Liam a couple places around Tours. We ended up going to a huge, old church. I forget the name of it, but it was very cool. At first it was almost empty, but then we went down to the crypt. There were quite a lot of people there, but I did manage to get a photo with no one in it. After that, the day was pretty much over! All in all, it was a lot of fun and I am excited to see what we do tomorrow.
