On the final day, we went over to the SAS farm to help out the farm managers. We harvested garnishes for the 5 star restaurants, The Umstead Hotel and Heron’s. Some of the harvested food included carrots, basil, squash blossoms, and golden raspberries. We liked harvesting the carrots the best and eating them! It was cool to know that in the future, some of the food that we harvested could end up on a plate in a restaurant. To finish off a very fun two weeks, we made lemonade which was delicious and refreshing for the hot day!
