Today, we had guest speaker Dr. Kenya Oduor and spoke about her experiences and challenges being a woman as well as a person of color. She provided advice and inspired the students in many ways. Dr. Kenya Oduor is the Founder/Managing Director of Lean Geeks, a consulting and staffing firm focused on evaluating, defining, and designing complex applications, products, and processes. She holds a Ph.D. in Human Factors Psychology and has 20+ years of experience conducting user and market research, information synthesis/sensemaking, and collaborative solution design. She has hired, led, and mentored individuals in user experience, business analysis, and product owner roles.

In the afternoon, we had great bonding time and watched a documentary about Jane Goodall, providing her studies and observations of chimpanzee behavior while living in the wilderness. At the same time, we created monkey puppet crafts to go along with the documentary.
