The ecology discovery term students regrouped after a restful lunch to finalize our wanted posters on invasive plants. Following that, we separated into five groups to search the campus for invasive species. Autumn Olive, Japanese Wisteria, Nandina, Bradford Pear, and Groundsel Bush are among the invasive plants that were searched for. When students discovered an invasive plant, they took note of the exact position so that it could be entered into ArcGIS later. This was critical in order to inform grounds keeping where on campus invasive species were so that they could be removed, benefiting the campus vegetation.
