Today was quite the interesting day for our discovery term. As this day was focused on baseball, we started out by learning the history of this sport, going over the different teams and players that played baseball since its creation in the early 1900s. Afterwards, we played a Kahoot on what we had learned with the winner being Matthew Corkey, quite the studious, intelligent, and handsome man. Once this game ended, we decided to go out and experience the sport through playing it ourselves. However, we were unable to do so and had to resort to playing whiffleball which is very similar to baseball. We played this for a few hours before heading to lunch for some delectable chicken sandwiches.
After lunch, we headed back to the classroom to take a break, but it began to rain, forcing us to stay inside. Due the situation occurring, we chose to stay inside and watch a movie. Our final choice was the one and only McFarland USA, a movie based on a coach who is forced to move across the USA, due to having lost his temper and hurting one of his football players. He ends up creating a cross-country team in a Californian school after realizing their potential, and they end up facing many challenges on their way to becoming the best. However, we were unable to finish this game due to school ending. Our journey continued after school, as we went to a Durham Bulls game later that night. A special guest named Hamza Adnan joined us on this journey. We first went out and bought some stylish hats and attached fake birds to them. At the Durham Bulls game, the opposing team from Charlotte called Charlotte Knights got absolutely slapped, with the Durham Bulls beating them 6-1. Overall, we had a good team, and got to show off our drip to those in the stadium.
