This morning, we had a lovely guest speaker! She was from the non profit company Redress Raleigh, who brings awareness about unsustainable fashion and unfair worker conditions and labor rights. She gave a presentation about the processes involved in making all our clothes, and how these processes impact the environment. Then we had some time to work on individual projects like embroidery or sewing. After lunch, we made posters about what we learned in the morning, explaining what fast fashion is and how we can help. We put these beautiful, amazing, awe-striking posters up in the upper school so people can read the information!
