Today during fashion frenzy we started off our day learning about the importance of fashion represented in various cultures. To help further our learning, we split into groups and chose a culture to design outfits for. We then talked to our classmates about the cultures we chose and why people involved in that culture or region wear certain clothing items. Finally, we ended our day by taking a trip to the NC Museum of Art and looked at different painting from different regions, such as Italian and European art. We found similarities between the clothing they wear and the clothing we created, and looked at the art through the eyes of a designer, questioning the colors, patterns, and shapes.- Lakshmi
