Today we learned how to sew and work with fabric and thread to make pillows, stylus covers, bandanas, and more. It was very interesting to learn how to work the machine and understand the technique. Ms. Lee was kind enough to help us learn and understand how to use the sewing machine. Though it was difficult at first, we learned small tricks from her, and got the hang of it really fast! We also researched the history of different fashionable events such as the Met Gala, Oscar’s, Grammy’s, and Kentucky Derby. We learned why fashion themes and events came to be and noticed the fashion trends between each generation. It was very interesting to learn about the different themes and what approaches famous people have in styling their clothing. – Sanah
