Today, Experiencing Art headed over to Carrboro, a town near UNC ripe with unique crafts. Upon arriving, students perused specialty shops and learned about new methods of art and how people can make a living out of art. Then, after grabbing lunch from some local restaurants, we settled in a garden of the university’s, enjoying our food while exploring the place; many were prompted by nature’s beauty to start sketching. For more inspiration, we then walked over to the Ackland Museum, exploring the exhibits with great interest and eventually ended up playing quick sketching games. We ended our day with boba and a trip to the NC Botanical Garden and alo with a greater appreciation for art and its phenomenal ability to story-tell.
