The second half of our day consisted of a lot of activities: strawberry picking, ice cream eating, chess, and basketball! First, we came back from lunch and played chess until 1 pm and then left for the strawberry fields. Mr. Noland gave a quick presentation and discussion of chess rules and strategy to help us get started. Afterwards, we picked strawberries for around 20 minutes and then got peach, blueberry, and strawberry ice cream made fresh by the owners of the strawberry patch. We picked seven baskets of strawberries which we will use later in the week to make smoothies and healthy popsicles. Everyone was super hot and tired, but we still all had enough energy to go to Apex Community Park and play soccer and a nice game of basketball! All in all it was a super fun and tiring day!
