On Monday 5/23, we started off the day with a presentation by Sunil Lindsay, one of the three leaders. Following the presentation, the group went on a 20 minute morning walk for a mile, totaling 2490 steps. We walked down Appletree Lane down towards Dr. Goodnight’s house, and on the way back, we saw a hawk perched on a tree veering out towards prey. After the walk, we went to the CA gym and did a HIIT workout/circuit with Coach Huxford, going through three times total. The circuit workout lasted for 45 minutes, and the gym didn’t even have AC! Shoutout to Ms. Revelle for getting the most reps done! The workout added 4,400 steps to our step count, totaling 6,890 steps overall for the morning part of the day. As a group, we agreed that the hardest workout in the circuit were the pull-ups following the deadlifts, and the easiest workout was probably the bosu ball balances. Overall, it’s been an exercise-filled and sweaty morning!
