Throughout the past two weeks, our DT has further developed a connection between emotions drawn from music and emotions drawn from art. Yesterday, we spent the day working on the final projects that will be shared in the DT presentations. Today, we reflect on all we have done, from trips to art museums, walks in gardens, games of hide and seek, and lots of food consumption (in the name of art). We learned which elements in a piece bring out emotion through studying other famous artwork, listening to music, completing artistic exercises, and creating pieces of our own. As leaders of the DT, we have a newfound appreciation for teachers who have to deal with students all day, and as a group, we like to think that everyone has learned something more about art, music, and hopefully, themselves.
