In Cary Academy-esque fashion, we visited Dames Chicken & Waffles in Harrison Square, which happens to be a Black-owned franchise owned by none other than Ms. Eason’s Brother! If you don’t know, Dames specializes in chicken, waffles, and other soul food that is integral to Black culture. Lastly, we noticed some beautiful paintings on the wall with famous Black musicians/artists and thought we’d share one of them.
