Last stop in Greensboro: A&T Campus! After driving about 5-10 minutes away from the museum we ended up on A&T campus, and while leaving we noticed a mural down the road at Windsor Recreation Center which depicts the Greensboro (or Aggie) four. These four A&T students (David Richmond, Franklin McCain, Ezell Blair Jr. (Jibreel Khazan), Joe McNeil) initiated the Greensboro sit-ins at Woolworth diner. While driving through this part of town, and by Ms. Eason’s old high school, Ms. Eason noticed the differences in her home town and how much reconstruction has occurred. Like many downtown areas (especially Raleigh and Durham) the gentrification or urban renewal of predominantly Black communities becomes apparent.
