Today, our Grease Monkeys Discovery Term was chock-full of car-related competition and entertainment. This enjoyment was experienced by means of connecting a Forza video game racing simulator, usually played on a relatively minuscule screen in comparison to others, to the numerous gargantuan television screens in the CMS lobby. This expansion of our ability to experience a simulated driving environment firsthand elevated our enthusiasm for car mechanics, as well as for the DT as a whole. It was truly a delight to compete for record race times in Forza, with some people speedily accelerating their way to the finish line and others (such as myself ☹) repeatedly crashing throughout the entirety of the race until they eventually reached the finish line, their digital car completely in ruins. In addition to being entertained, we also received numerous beneficial takeaways regarding the topic of how to drive, a topic which is clearly related to the overall theme of car-related mechanics of our Grease Monkeys Discovery Term.
