It was a sweltering day, but luckily Maggie and Isabel discovered a sweet little bench tucked neatly away under the canopy of trees. While waiting for the painting supplies, they climbed onto the rickety wooden railings that bordered the crystalline lake. In the distance, there was a flash of brownish gold, and the sound of water splashing and panting. Then the flash of gold morphed into the silhouette of a golden retriever, and we soon deduced that he was chasing after the ball floating in the middle of the lake.
We were delighted seeing that sight, and some of us decided to capture the wonderful playful innocence of the dog in our works of art. As the dog paddled back to shore with the ball clamped in his mouth, his head was but a dot of gold under the sun’s warm rays, yet we could still feel his goofy smile in our hearts.
^Some other paintings too!
