Today during the Grease Monkey DT I changed brake pads, which isnt that difficult, but is still annoying when doing it in the hot sun. Although the heat was less than ideal, I still had a great time doing. You start by removing the lug nuts and taking the tire off. I got to a late start because our hydraulic jack was not working, so I had to wait for the other side to be done. When they were finished, I took the jack and finally got the tire off. Although I was on the other side of the car, I could hear about 4 people trying to figure out what was wrong, with this I knew that I still had a chance to get the brakes changed before them. After the tire was removed, I took off the old brake pads and went to get the new ones. When I went around to get them the other side was still having trouble. I grabbed brake pads out of the same box which after about 5 minutes we realized they were the actual brake pads needed for the tire, which the other side was not using. When they realized this I quickly (but thoroughly) finished changing the brakes and put the tire back on. Thankfully, I did finish before them even though I started later, which was fun to see that one person beat 5 people working on one tire. Overall, it was a fun time even though it was very hot and very sunny, if you can, I would recommend learning how to change brake pads, not only is it fun to do, but it is a good skill to know for life.
