Day 2: 5/25/2021

Math Adventures spent the drizzly morning vigorously competing in the classic strategy game of chess. After countless hours, students discovered the underlying strategies behind the game. Students debated moves diligently before executing impeccable attacks in order to achieve checkmate.

Later in the morning, half of the group went on a hike/walk around the CA campus, totaling around 1.5 miles of walking. Throughout the walk, we enjoyed the nature around us and appreciated the wonderful cool weather.

We then drove off-campus to All in Adventures in Raleigh and split off into four groups for four different escape rooms – Alcatraz, Superheroes, Sherlock Holmes, and Treasure Island. All groups escaped within the 50-minute time limit, and everyone had a lot of fun. One group even made the Hall of Fame!
