Today we embarked on our two week journey to become both mentally and physically healthier. The day started with a nice walk around the SAS campus, where we met our new copperhead friend.
We used the walk around the SAS campus to become mentally ready for the day ahead, and ponder all of life’s questions.
Our group then participated in a yoga and Pilates class taught by Ms. Powell. While we all struggled completing some of the movements, our group grew respect for how physically demanding yoga and Pilates can be.
After Yoga, we ate a healthy lunch at chipotle in park west.
After Lunch, our group traveled to a strawberry farm to go strawberry picking. Our group ended our day with a friendly basketball game outside at Apex Community Park.
It was a great first day in the Health and Fitness Discovery Term.
