Today we started the day with a brief introduction and some muffins and fruit for breakfast. The theme for today was more about focusing on ourselves and exploring our fashion tastes. We started off by making aesthetic boards, which helped everyone further hone their aesthetic and fashion style. Then, we had a discussion about what clothing items and colors best suit different skin tones and body types. We had a group sorting activity, where we decided together which colors would go best with which skin tones, and also narrowed down what tones and shades our skin tones are. After lunch, we came back and talked about the difference between high fashion and fast fashion. We then had group discussions about how the fashion world could be more inclusive, pros and cons of high and fast fashion, and what the model life is like. Finally, we had another project where everyone made their own inspiring outfits out of high fashion apparel from many different companies. This also helped bring through everyone’s personal styles, and everyone got pretty creative. Finally, we finished the day off with some popcorn and the movie, The Devil Wears Prada.
