The goal of our DT is to explore math in the world around us, so we went on a field trip to the NC Museum of Art to observe math involved in artworks. First, we took a walk on the trails around the museum to look at all the out-doors exhibition. Then, a tour guide showed us around the museum and introduced us to many pieces of artwork. He also explained how math is involved in many pieces of art. It can mostly be summed into “the three P’s” — pattern, perspective, and proportion.
