Today we kicked off our 8 day business intensive: The Learning Sprint. We began the day by watching an advertisement by Jeep and analyzing its purpose and significance. Utilizing our results from our strengths test called the “High 5”, we participated in team building exercises to understand how to work as a group most efficiently. Mrs. Clarkson led the activities including one where three team members had to make a chair for a heavy stuffed animal using limited materials as well as another activity where four team members were forced to decide rankings from a list of items based on importance in a hypothetical scenario on the moon. During the second half of the afternoon, Mr. Gozon introduced the group to the basics of business and marketing as well as the car industry. Haley and I then led the introduction of the Harvard Business Case that we will continue for the duration of the Sprint.
