你好
Today, we started bright and early, waking up at 6:45 because we were headed to the Great Wall!
For breakfast, we had a buffet from our hotel, which included a variety of fruits, veggies, noodles, toast, eggs, and more. I ate a steamed bun, cucumbers, watermelon, toast, and a fried egg. It was very tasty!
At 8:00 AM, we headed to the Great Wall. On our 2-hour journey to the Wall, we passed through several villages where I got to see many different occupations like farmers, fishermen, salesmen, and more.
We went to a specific part of the Great Wall called Mutianyu. We got to experience the most breathtaking and beautiful views of the Great Wall and took many pictures. There were a ton of steps, which at times were very challenging. I really enjoyed this experience because the Great Wall is one of the seven wonders of the world, so experiencing it firsthand was very special.
After climbing down the wall, we drove to a local hot pot restaurant. At the restaurant, we sat at a long table, and everyone got their own personal hot pot. There was a variety of beef, lamb, mushrooms, noodles, and greens! After lunch, we drove 2 hours back to go shopping at Qian Men Da Shi La (前门大栅栏).
We spent one hour shopping for local goods and a variety of foods, and it was another great place to practice speaking Chinese! For dinner, we ate a widespread of Chinese dishes like tofu, broccoli, rice, shrimp, and fruits. It was very filling and delicious, and the perfect way to end the day.
