Day 8 – Sydney

I’m not counting Monday (Memorial Day) as one of our work day so Day 8 is 6/2.

Its the last day so we wrapped up our research on possible “middleman” companies who could recommend mpro5 to other businesses in need. Some of us took an early lunch to eat at the Parkside Restaurant. The food was delicious and fast. We ended the day with a suspicious trivia game created by Fred and Darrian. Lila was no where in site at the office today and Pebbles has been MIA since Tuesday. They will be missed.

EJ’s Last Day :(

Witam wszystkich! (that means “hello all” in Polish. Did you know other than English, Polish is the most spoken language in England? The more you know).

Today is sadly the last Fred Flick of the season. Fred is very sad to see us go. In other news, literally everyone but Ivy and I were late to the last day. He loves the CA mug we got him though. He’s a big tea guy, and it’s a perfect tea mug.

Today we have a full schedule ahead of us. We have a presentation in the morning, some research on market user sizes in the afternoon, and the rest of the day is focused on finding local building managers to reach out to. Fred also informed us that we would be having a quiz at the end of the day (what is this… school?)

I did Ivy’s eyeliner today that’s why they’re slaying extra hard.

EJ Day 7

Ello mate (I’m adapting British vernacular courtesy of Fred)

It’s the second to last day! (Fred Flick at the end don’t worry everyone)

Everyone is here today! Michael and Colin are twinning (how cute!) with their pink polos and khakis (and cross chains… how religious)

Today was the last day we see Mark, so we did a round table talk about how the WEP has gone, what we learned, questions, etc. Other than that, we all individually worked on finding partners for MPro5 (IE. possible collaborators in reselling, aka software integrating companies).

here’s Fred everyone:

i’m smiling for once. with teeth. what a treat. (#Fred4Life)

Ivy Day 7

I’ve decided to go with the number of days the program has run instead of the number of days I have attended entirely because the number is bigger.

Today, I worked very very hard on a report that details a PPC campaign for mpro5. A PPC campaign refers to an ad campaign on search engines like Google, with paid results being at the top of a search engine, with the pricing model being that the company pays per click. I created a lot of graphs because there many outliers; I ended up with a total of 4 graphs, each with a different set of outliers removed. I also did a lot of research on how mpro5 is uniquely capable of success in the US market, so love that for them!

We went to Panera for lunch today, and my eyes gandered upon a croissant. I stared at it and I thought, “Wow, Fred would love this. He is a croissant man at heart, even though I have no idea if he likes them.” However, when I attempted to carry out this random act of kindness, a wild Darrin intercepted my delivery. #Justice4Fred

Day 7 – Colin

  • Today we wrapped up our PPC projects and then began working on finding potential partner companies for mpro5
  • Panera was the plan for lunch though thanks to Chelsea’s directions we ended up at a hospital
  • After lunch we met with Mark and Fred and discussed what we learned and got out of the wep as Mark will not be here for our final day
  • A conclusion we came to was that we were very thankful for them giving us this opportunity, and that they were very thankful for the hard work we put in the past two weeks
  • Michael and I were also complimented by the building owner on how much our ping pong skills improved

Day 7- Nousha

  • We began to research potential partners for mpro5 with the goal of joining forces with them to gain more customers long term
  • we drove over to panera not realizing the one we had put in the GPS was inside a hospital, so we had to switch gears and go to a different location
  • we had a team meeting with fred and mark regarding our time here and what were our strongest takeaways (mine was how crucial business development is)
  • We finished up by pitching our list of potential partners and explaining why each of these companies would benefit mpro5 further down the road

MPRO5 day 6

We came in at 9am. We split up into 3 different groups and were assigned to different focuses. EJ Nousha and I were in the hospital sector.

I found one of the companies first potential hospital clients.

This was wake forest baptist hospital.

We felt the hospital was flawed in many management areas and that the MPRO5 software would benefit them.

We went to the subway for lunch.

Evan Day 7, mpro5

Today we’re finishing up our final presentations for the work experience. The presentations are focused on our final findings, specifically the SEO terms and graphs each group found/made. Additionally, the presentations are focused on what we did the past 2 weeks, and each person will speak about what they learned while at mpro5. Besides SEO terms, each group will present their potential customer prospects for their given sector. EJ’s group found Wake Forest Medical Center as a potential client, while Ivy, Sydney, and I’s group found smaller retail convenience stores, like CVS, in need of task management software. In all, I’ve learned so much new information about marketing and sales, and I’m looking forward to these skills carrying over into the workforce.

Ivy WEP Day 5/6

Because of traveling to DC for debate, I wasn’t able to go to work on Friday, so I guess that kind of changes the name scheme since it was my fifth day even though the program has been running for 6 days. We’ll see what I decide tomorrow.

Today was also busy. It was a lot of statistical analysis, and a lot of graphing. Microsoft Excel and I have become best friends, however it seems to dislike EJ strongly. I was the person she lamented to whenever excel decided to give her a numberless graph or blatant misinformation.

pebbles made the pain go away tho

Day 6 – Colin

  • Today we focused on PPC’s which are pay per clicks. Companies spend money using certain keywords to get to the front pages of google. Every time a user goes to their website as a result of the keywords, the company must pay a certain amount. We researched words that mpro5 could use along with ones competitors are using. Ideally they would have a solid search volume with a lower cost per click.
  • We went for round 3 at the Mexican restaurant and brought along a new member. They couldn’t agree with us more that the food was insane.
  • It was already determined that I am better at ping pong than EJ, however, she insisted on playing again. To which I responded by winning 9 straight games.
