Today was filled with finishing projects and saying our final goodbyes but if the shoe fits I could have a potential paid internship at Lenovo in the future. This internship was definitely was a dream come true and I have learned so much above Lenovo, product management, and having a real job. As we close this chapter I’d like to thank CA and Lenovo for this opportunity.

We’re all in this together as pride month begins. Today during one of our meetings we met with the person another Cary Academy group is working with as well as we struggled with camera issues again turning one of our calls into almost a girls call since the camera didn’t like zooming over to Mr. Lancia. Besides the calls today was filled with sharing as we went over my research and learning more about Lenovo trying to sell software on Amazon.

We’re almost there as we begin our second week of the WEP. Today was another work from home day since Mr. Lancia was still on his way back from the mountains. Due to this today was filled with a lot of research and runs to school to get a gift and write a thank you card. Tomorrow will be my first day back into the office for the week and I am looking forward to everything that is in store for tomorrow.

For the first time in forever I worked at home as Mr. Lancia had nothing scheduled for today since all of the calls he had were canceled. Today was filled with lots of research about different product add-ons for Lenovo Vantage Smart Performance. This research was unfortunately cut a little short when my dog decided that my lap was the place to be. After try multiple positions to be able to work with him on my lap I finally gave in after a couple hours due to us hitting the road to embark on the mission of moving my sister out. Blaring “Life is a highway” from Disney’s Cars we finally made it after encountering 14 too many ambulances along the way. Luckily I was able to get a little more done upon arriving at our hotel.

9:00 AM the usual starting line up. Start up the calls and work till the time strikes 2:00. Alright alright that is probably enough song for today. Now where was I, oh right calls. Today’s adventures took a unique but confusing turn when I wound up in a training meeting that had one too many loop holes. From multiple files with very similar names to steps that only work or appear for certain things there was lot to joke about after over lunch as we could already picture the confused costumer reviews lining the site.

Today was filled with insightful reflecting whether that was on goals for this year or for projects I started. Reflection is not all I had up my sleeve as a new project sprung us into the future of what Lenovo’s VSP (vantage smart performance) could be. From optimizing drive space to controlling high usage apps to managing start-ups today’s work was never dull, nor were the flowers that hung from the wall. Well that’s all for today but know for sure there is more to this story then ever before.

Through endless string of calls, today’s adventures began. From staff meetings to project work there was never a dull moment in the scheme of learning something new about how a company functions. The funniest moment came from when we had to change conference rooms for a meeting since someone was using the one we had prior we were faced with our biggest challenge… old technology. After we got teams sorted out from our echoing situation we found the struggle of cameras moving to noise and movement. While Mr. Lancia was explaining to his team about their project with Amazon Alexa we found the camera to only zoomed in on me instead of him which made me feel like part of their world.

Instead of arriving at the the usual 9:00 AM like the rest of the days, today I arrived at 11:00 AM in order for Mr. Lancia to have everything needed for me set up. After calling up to meet my boss for the week we realized there was something wrong. Even after a conformation email from the security office saying I was in the system, we still found issues due to old computers (Shocking I know as we were in a tech company building who created computers). After a long journey across the lake to get my pass we finally made it to the office to get down to business. From learning about working in an office to being delegated work today has truly opened my eyes to a whole new world.
