We started the day off meeting with Mr. Tehrani via zoom. He talked about being a hospitalist, which is a job that didn’t quite exist until about 20 years ago. Before that time each person would have a primary care physician but needed people who could be there often and do general patient care. Mr. Tehrani then asked us about our 10-year plan and he provided helpful input such as how long it would take and how beneficial it would be to us. Next, we met with Dr. Hassel who is a radiologist. He explained the different types of scans (CT scans & X-rays). After that, we met with Dr. White who is an Endocrinologist (a doctor that specializes in diagnosing and treating hormone-related diseases and conditions) Dr. White showed us X-rays and explained surgeries to us. Finally, we spoke with Dr. Wu who is a cardiologist. He explained how difficult medical school really is. Overall it was a wonderful experience learning via zoom.
