Valentine’s day: a day known for celebrating what you cherish. Each year the Cary Academy development office devotes their time and effort to celebrate the Cary Academy community– putting in hours of work to show their love for our school. Each day of the February 14th week had its own designated recipient of love.
Starting the week off, on Monday, popcorn bags were intended to be handed out to parents in the carpool lane, though there was a slight dilemma. Due to bad weather, this event had to be postponed to later in the week, yet everyone persevered, and the week of love continued on.
Moving on to Tuesday, the PTAA and the development team distributed treats for the employees; these included candy, notes, and even tumblers.
Wednesday marked the big day itself: Valentine’s Day. Though students were at home and had their own celebrations, Cary Academy’s social media highlighted employees who contribute to the growth and work of making Cary Academy the wonderful place it is.
Coming back to school, Thursday was for the students! As a show of appreciation, at lunch each student could pick up their very own Crumbl cookie. They then got to enjoy these cookies with their flowers from the flower sale.
Rounding out the week, on Friday emails were sent to show thanks by using pictures and kind messages.
Overall, lots hard work went into this week to make sure the Cary Academy community felt loved. The Student Council, Development Team, PTAA, and many more worked extremely hard this week to shower us with appreciation and love.
