On October 21 the entire Cary Academy community congregated on the Quad on a sunny afternoon to enjoy a series of musical performances from students and faculty members. Performers sang, danced, and performed skits on the stairs of the library. Cary Academy’s Student Council organized the event.
Nitya Nalamothu, a member of Student Council, comments, “We started planning Quadchella in early September to bring back a popular event that we hosted last year. Quadchella was a chance for talented students to showcase pieces they’ve been working on or even learned just for this performance. This year, StuCo wanted to make Quadchella even larger by inviting some Middle School performers and selling refreshments to raise money for the National Alliance for Mental Illness. After seeing a huge audience and selling out of all our refreshments for charity, we are eagerly looking forward to planning future Quadchellas.”
The event was a wonderful way to bring the Cary Academy community together, and community members look forward to a second Quadchella in the spring.
