Film club 300 Seconds’ videos have proved to be a huge hit at town halls, and the creative projects are making their mark on YouTube as well.
Since leaders Jono Jenkins (’20) and Evan Snively (’20) revamped 300 Seconds this year, it’s released four videos. Among these are a YouTube exclusive called “Lovestruck,” which has already garnered over 150 views, and two other videos, “The Check – A Trailer in 5 Languages” and “Halloween Nightmare,” which were both shown at town hall meetings.
The club’s town hall features are quickly becoming tradition, and both showings received a great reception by students– especially when Jenkins appeared on-stage at the end of the debut of “Halloween Nightmare,” bringing the 2D media to life.
A last video, “MHS Episode 1 Trailer,” is the channel’s most popular video, with over 170 views, and filled with all sorts of dramatic special effects. Is it too soon to ask for the full-length feature?
Though 300 Seconds has grown over the past year, Snively says that anyone interested in filmmaking is still welcome to join. “300 Seconds is a relaxed club for anyone who like films and making them,” he said. “We encourage creativity from all members, and throughout the year we’ve produced some awesomely creative projects!”
