Welcome to this third edition of the Campitor!
This year’s final trimester has come and gone. Classes are over, AP tests are done, the intensity of the senior class’s game of Spoons is finally lessening. Students and faculty are preparing for graduation, exchange trips, Discovery Term, and so much more. The end of the year is a time for the student body to come together, whether it be through Spoons or Kona Ice or dodgeball. It’s a time for us to celebrate our school and our peers, and to celebrate all of our accomplishments this year.
I am so excited to present this issue to you. The advice column and sports feature both return this edition, along with a plethora of new additions. We have a movie review, a cartoon, and a brand-new student spotlight section. We have a feature on the Triangle’s best bubble tea, analysis of the Drink Cart Challenge, and an op-ed on why foreign exchange students want to learn English. And as part of our push to include more multimedia, we’ve added several video features.
Thank you to our incredible staff for their work on this issue. McKay Lucas, Claire Ferris, Kathryn Chao, Erin Singleton, Ashleigh Smith, Ashley Grubstein, Sydney Nguyen, Will Aarons, Kaela Curtis– you all are the best. Ms. Buie, thank you for everything you do, and for your invaluable help with this and every edition. And to you, our readers: thanks for supporting us, and I hope you enjoy this issue of the Campitor!
Best,
Cate Pitterle (’20)
