After this year’s Variety Show was cancelled, the upper school Jazz Band was presented with a dilemma.

They had been practicing their rendition of “Despascito” for weeks in preparation for the show. Its cancellation not only meant that their hard work had seemingly gone to waste but that the school community would never get to hear the popular song live. However, in classic CA fashion, the band engineered a way out of the problem by performing the song for an even wider audience– the entire upper school. Much to the student body’s delight, the band played the song at the town hall on April 16. The show was hugely popular, and many students clapped and danced along to the beat.
