Welcome to the 2017-2018 T3 edition of The Campitor! It’s bittersweet to write this last letter from the editor, but I feel confident that I am leaving The Campitor in good hands. I feel good leaving Cary Academy knowing that students aren’t afraid to speak up for what they believe in, no matter what they believe, and this last edition is no exception: walkouts, the Day of Silence, and more really demonstrate that CA students have found their voices this year.  

As always, a big thank you to our faculty advisor, Ms. Buie, for all of her help, and my fellow senior editors Taylor Timinskas, Danielle Carr, and Princess Bernard-Oti. I’m excited to announce that Cate Pitterle will be the Editor-in-Chief next year, and Claire Ferris, McKay Lucas, and Angelina Chen will be joining the editing staff next year – the best of luck to all of them! Lastly, I’d like to thank you, our readers – read on to learn about what CA students are passionate about, comment, start a dialogue, and enjoy! It has been a pleasure writing for you all and watching the Campitor grow to truly represent the student voice.
