Letter from the Editor

We are more than halfway through the school year: the ninth grade class is accustomed to Upper School life, the sophomores are eagerly awaiting their exchange students, the juniors are working incredibly hard, and the seniors are counting down the days until graduation. Along with us, the world around us is also facing rapid changes. We don’t live in the same world we did a month ago, and we are also learning how to adapt. Ms. Clarkson always tells us to “Own Our Learning” (often in the context of our classes), but I think taking ownership of our learning extends far beyond the four walls of a classroom. To me, it means taking charge of your actions and creating positive change in the world, no matter how big or how small. It embodies the Cary Academy spirit. This edition features various updates on school organizations, a brief look into our new Biotechnology class, a few thoughts on the presidential election, and much more.

I would like to give a huge thank you to Hope Ferris, the deputy editor-in-chief, Ms. Allyson Buie, our faculty advisor, and the staff team for helping make our visions for The Campitor a reality.  And as always, happy reading!
