Dear Readers,

Welcome to the first edition of the Campitor for the 2016-2017 academic year! This edition features a section on the presidential election, various student organizations, and even some salient opinion pieces from our student body.

Reflecting back on last year, I have realized that Cary Academy has such an all-encompassing, diverse population. We have musicians, athletes, debaters, scientists, and even professional dancers. Therefore, this year we will be featuring more opinion articles to help the voices within our community be heard. We will also be publishing articles written by lesser-known clubs doing some important work within our community, so stay tuned for some unique perspectives!

Of course, the Campitor would not be what it is without the help of some wonderful people. We would like to thank the writers for sharing a part of themselves with the greater Cary Academy community, Ms. Allyson Buie for being a great faculty advisor, the editing team for their unrelenting efforts, and you, our readers, for taking time out of your busy lives to catch up with us! On behalf of the Campitor staff, I really hope you enjoy this edition.
