Letter from the Editor

Midway through our second trimester, Cary Academy is back in full swing with its busy students, fun events, and excitement for the rest of the year. In the past few months, we’ve had inspiring guest speakers, an exhilarating and competitive Spirit Week, fun holiday festivities, and a shift in the student body, inspired by Ms. Clarkson, to not only own our learning, but also own our community. Through this edition’s articles, it is clear that Cary Academy students are continuing to truly engage with the community and leave their mark on the school, with clubs like Key Club and STEP and projects like SGLI’s ESL audio recordings.

The Campitor itself has also been growing and evolving along with the rest of the student body. In this issue, one of the most important changes within the Campitor is our new advice column. After eliciting anonymous responses from CA Upper School students, our advice columnist has curated and responded to the most relevant and intriguing queries. We hope that this advice column only grows in the coming issues, and we invite you to give your own feedback on the issues in the comments.

With the launch of our new online format this year, we’ve loved being able to open up new features on the website, like the comprehensive Photo Gallery, and interact with our readers in the comments sections. In our winter edition, we would love for you to engage even more with the articles, by leaving comments, sharing links, and sparking discussions. I hope you enjoy this issue’s articles, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback.
