A major is a field in which a student focuses during their undergrad studies which is an addition to the core curriculum. Most students complete 10/20 credits in an honors degree in their Major subject area. Majors can also be called concentrations. A minor is a secondary concentration of courses that sort of complement the major. The usual requirements are to complete 4 of the required credits in a minor subject. An associate degree is undergraduate academic degree because of the completion or a course that last two years. A bachelor degree is an undergraduate academic degree because of the completion of a course of study lasting three to seven years. A graduate degree is an advanced academic degree that are available to people who have a bachelor degree. Examples are Master of Business Administration, Juris Doctor, and Doctor philosophy. A doctorate degree is the highest level of an academic degree. You can earn a doctorate in any subject. It takes 4 years to complete. Since I want to be a Behavioral Analyst I want to major in psychology. This will help me because psychology is the study of human behavior. As a Behavioral Analyst, you must analyze the behavior of people.
