What Are We Doing This Week?

Beginning Band In-Class Demonstration

Please join us during class Thursday, Jan. 29 for a demonstration. (1:40-2:25) We would like to show you our progress so far, the celebrate making it through the most difficult time in band – the first 6 or 7 weeks!

Siblings, other family members, family friends, and anyone else who wants to come is welcome!  If you will bring more than 2 people, please let Mr. Grush know so we have enough chairs ready! 

Music Camps and Summer Private Lessons

Many Camps begin taking applications very soon.  I strongly recommend trying a music camp over the summer or trying some music lessons on your band instrument.

Sound Study

Good news!  Although we do have some rather loud moments during rehearsals, no students are being exposed to unsafe levels of sound. So, earplugs are not for any class or club and student are exposed to safe levels of sound.

Honors Clarinet and Percussion Ensembles: 7th -12th graders

Hal Sargent, percussion instructor at Cardinal Gibbons and at Louisburg College has helped to organize two honor groups.  If you are a clarinet or percussion player who is interested, please let me know by Wednesday. Jan. 14 so I can recommend you. This could fulfill your band portfolio for this trimester!
