You can also search for songs you like that someone else has submitted to noteflight.  You can find almost any song, copy, edit, see/listen on the screen or even print out!

Audacity – sound recording and editing software

1. Go to your start screen (with the tiles for all the apps)
2. Type “audacity”
3. Open audacity (if your computer does not have audacity see instructions at the bottom of this page)
4. Watch this instructional video on Audacity
5. Explore Audacity!

If you do not have audacity on your computer, go to sourceforge.net and download audacity.

Install audacity (double click the icon.  It will ask for your superuser password)

Creating an account at Hooktheory.com

This signup code will let you  create a hooktheory.com account without an email address is (all caps):

1. Use Chrome or Firefox, not Internet Explorer
2. visit the Hooktheory.com signup page
3. click the link that says “I am a student and have a COPPA code from my teacher”, located below the big “Sign Up” button.
4. Enter the code in the top box (all caps)
5. Make up a username and password (use only letters a-z or numbers 1-9)
6. Choose “Write a Song”
7. Try hookpad, it’s free
